What is the P&C?

Balgownie P&C Association is a school based organisation, and registered charity. Membership is open to all parents, carers, teachers and community members residing within the school enrolment area.


Our role is to:

• Promote the interest of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co‐operation;

• Assist in providing facilities and equipment for the school and promoting the recreation and welfare of the students at the school;

• Encourage parent and community participation and feedback in school plans and policies

 How does the P&C operate?


General meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:15pm (during school terms only). All are welcome to attend meetings! Keep an eye on our Facebook page for meeting updates.



The P&C is managed by an elected committee, and paid members. The committee is voted in at the Annual General Meeting in March of ecah year.

To vote at a meeting, you must become a paid member. The annual membership fee is only $1. Please contact the Secretary to become a member, or to ask any questions.



Our association is governed by a constitution, set out by the NSW P&C Federation. We also follow a set of By-Laws which guides the way we operate day to day.
